According to the Jerusalem Post, former Shin Bet chief Avi Dichter "says pullout proved itself, Kassams [are] now terrorists' only means to attack Israel." Gee, now I feel much safer!

Let's take a step back, what are the conventional ways to attack a country?
1. Ground/Sea/Air invasion
2. Missile Attacks
3. Covert Penetration

The PA does not posses 1 and the fence around Gaza pretty much prevents 3, so we are only left with 2. Now surface to surface attacks are hard to monitor in an age where technology is prevalent in even the most remote societies (read: Russia acts as a arms flee market). The fact that Dichter feels that the only threat is conveyed by dinky little Kassamim and nothing more powerful (both explosive and range) is significant...just hope it is true.
